Pterygia

Pterygia are non-cancerous growths that develop on the conjunctiva, the clear tissue covering the white part of the eye. They often appear as pink, fleshy tissue on the corner of the eye.
Symptoms
Redness, irritation, foreign body sensation, and sometimes blurred vision if the growth extends over the cornea.
Treatment
Mild cases can be managed with lubricating eye drops or ointments. Surgical removal may be recommended if the pterygium causes significant symptoms of affected vision.
